Student Life

Student life at Sister Thea Bowman Catholic School is vibrant, holistic, and deeply rooted in both faith and academic excellence. Scholars in grades K–8 experience a rich Education Through Music and the Arts curriculum—violin classes, ballroom and liturgical dance, visual arts, and vocal music—designed to stimulate creativity, discipline, and collaboration while reinforcing core academics.

A strong Peacemaker Program promotes respectful behavior, positive conflict resolution, and community-mindedness through daily affirmations, classroom recognition, and monthly celebrations for students who exemplify peacemaking values. The school also emphasizes wellness, offering nutritious meals, physical education, and frequent recess, alongside health education and family engagement initiatives to encourage lifelong healthy habits.

Beyond the classroom, opportunities abound—from science fairs and academic competitions to athletics and the Access Academies partnership, which supports middle schoolers with enrichment, counseling, extended-day programs, and scholarship pathways through college. Student life is further enriched by communal prayer services, liturgies, volunteer engagement, and a nurturing community that values faith, service, and belonging.
