On Monday October 23rd, two representatives of Rosati- Kain Catholic High School, an all girls school in St. Louis MO came and spoke with our middle school girls. The ladies played a game of “zip-zap-zop” ( a favorite for middle school) for an icebreaker for 6-8 grade girls. They then played a game of bingo in which the girls had an opportunity to learn more about Rosati-Kain and what they offer academically, socially, and sports opportunities. Some of the girls received a Rosati Kain water bottle and each girl received a RK fanny pack! Thank you Rosati!
East St. Louis school looks to future after replacing damage done by vandals

EAST ST. LOUIS (KMOV) — It’s been years since vandals destroyed an East St. Louis school. In 2015, a University City company stepped in to help make fixes.
The 8-year-long endeavor to clean Sister Thea Bowman Catholic School was completed with the help of area organizations, sister schools, grants and local partners.

Our “Young, Gifted, & Black” Program was excellent!
All of our students participated and displayed their many talents through singing, dancing, playing the violin, reciting poetry, & stepping. Our guest speaker was Yolandea Wood. She is a retired Air Force Aircraft Navigator, a former National Secretary of The Tuskegee Airmen, and is currently President of the local chapter of The Tuskegee Airmen. Her talk was very captivating, engaging, & inspiring.
Thank You Ms. Johnson, our 5th grade teacher, for organizing this wonderful Black History Celebration.
