PICTURE DAY
Life Touch Studios will be here this Friday, October 17 to take photos of every student. A flyer regarding pricing and other important information is included. Buying school pictures is optional, but if interest is low, next year they will probably only take the pictures of students who purchase packages. Students may be out of uniform on Picture Day, but must dress appropriately. Thank you, in advance, for reviewing the non-uniform guidelines in the handbook (p.23-24).
DIA DE FOTOS
“Life Touch Studios” va a venir este viernes, el 17 de octubre para fotos de todos los estudiantes. Uds. recibieron la información el jueves anterior. Nadie necesita comprar fotos, pero si interés es bajo, en el ano próximo las familias necesitan comprar antes fotos. Estudiantes no necesitan usar uniformes el día de fotos pero necesitan llevar ropa apropiado. (Libro de reglas, pp. 23 – 24) Gracias para su cooperation.
ANNUAL FUND
Thanks to all the families who have returned their Annual Fund envelope. This is one of our two fundraisers. Families pledge financial support and/or prayer in order to keep our school going. Your support is vital to the future of your children and all the future students who will become a part of the Sister Thea Bowman family. Seek joy in the giving.
We ask that each family return their envelope by Friday, October 17. If your family returns their envelope by this Friday, your child may be out of uniform on Monday, October 20.
FONDO ANUAL
Gracias a todas las familias que envían los sobres de Fundo Anua. Esta es uno de nuestros dos suplicaciones. Las familias hacen un compromiso de dinero y/o oraciones para la continuación de nuestra escuela. Su apoyo es muy importante para sus niños (a) y estudiantes del futuro.
Pedimos que cada familia retorne este sobre antes viernes, 17 de octubre. Si envía este sobre el 17 de octubre (o antes) sus niños no necesitan usar uniformes el lunes, el 20 de octubre.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY
This Saturday, October 18, volunteers from Immaculate Conception Parish in Columbia will be at our school cleaning up the grounds, painting the front door, and planting mums. If you would like to come out and join us, please be at school around 9am. This would be a wonderful opportunity to give of your time and work with other supporters of our school.

REPORT CARD CONFERENCES
Report Card Conferences will be held on Thursday, October 23, from 9am-8pm. Report Card Conference times are included in this Thursday’s envelope. Remember all fees (tuition, Before Care/Extended Day, lunch) need to be paid before a conference can be held. There is no school the next day, Friday, October 24.

Conferencias sobre las notas va a la fecha jueves, 23 de octubre a las 9:00 – 20:00. Recuerda que no hay conferencias sin paga mensualidad, Día Extendido y almuerzo. Hubo un papel en e sobre para su indicación de tiempo que preferían. No hoy clases el viernes el 24 de octubre.
TRUNK OR TREAT
Our 11th annual “Trunk or Treat” event will be held on Friday, October 31. Students are invited to bring a costume to change into around 2:00p.m. We count on our parents/guardians to make sure that costumes are appropriate for your child’s age and for wearing at a Catholic school event. Traditional Halloween costumes such as skeletons, scarecrows and witches are fine. Costumes/masks of famous artists or stars who use violent, foul or degrading lyrics or images are not allowed, as well as anything bloody and/or violent in nature. Props, including toy guns and swords, etc., are also not allowed. Please note that students do not have to have a costume to participate in Trunk or Treat. Your child should bring a container for the Halloween treats they receive.
Parents/Guardians who are participating are invited to come between 1:30p.m.-1:45p.m. A staff person will be on hand to show you where to park your car out on the playground area between the school and the church. Feel free to come in costume and to decorate your car in Halloween style! Have the Halloween treats, (wrapped candy, stickers, and pencils) you plan to hand out in the trunk of your car.
Please note that for safety reasons, all entrances to the parking lot will be closed at 2:00 and won’t reopen until 3:30p.m. dismissal.
After a class has been to each car, they will go back into to their classrooms to enjoy their treats until dismissal time at 3:30p.m. Parents/Guardians are welcome to enjoy some refreshments in the staff room until dismissal time. If you are unsure of the appropriateness of your child’s costume for this event, or if you have any other questions regarding this event, please call the school office. Thanks for all you will do to make our 11th annual Trunk or Treat event a huge success!
GATO O DULCES
Nuestra annual (11 años) celebración de Halloween es viernes, el 31 de octubre. Los niños (a) están invitado a traer su ropa de Halloween que pone a las 14:00. ¡No es una obligación! Necesitan bolsas para sus dulces. Ropa de Halloween es como reyes, reinas, ángeles, brujas, … Ropa que no es apropiado para un escuela Católica incluyan mascaras de “estrellas” que usan idioma violente, sin respeto… y cosas violente y no juguetes de armas.
Padres/cuidadores están invitados a las 13:30 o 13:45. Alguien de la escuela va a dar direcciones para parque entre la escuela y la capilla. Puede adornar su coche. Pone sus dulces… en el gato de su coche.
Por seguridad el parqueo está cerrado a las 14:00 hasta 15:30. Los padres y cuidadores pueden esperar sus niños en la cuarto de maestros. Los niños encontraran para jugar.
