TESTING
Students in Grades 2-8 will take the Iowa Assessment Test starting this Monday, September 22, and going through Wednesday, October 1. Students will normally be tested in the morning when they are more alert. In order to give your child every opportunity to do well, please make sure they get plenty of rest, eat a good breakfast and get to school on time. Thank you for your cooperation.

AN INVITATION
Fr. Carroll Mizicko, OFM, pastor of St. Augustine of Hippo Church in East. St. Louis and our chaplain, is inviting all our families to a one hour meeting in our chapel to find out more about the Catholic faith and what your child is learning here at Sister Thea Bowman Catholic School.

EXTENDED DAY-SESSION 2
Session 1 of Extended Day ends next Friday, September 26. Please complete the enclosed form if you are interested in enrolling your child in Session 2, which begins on Monday, September 29 and ends on November 7. The cost for the 6-week session is $50.00 for one child and $70.00 per family. Students are placed in one of three groups depending on their grade level: Kindergarten through grade 2, grades 3-5, and grades 6-8. Building of skills and more individualized instruction and homework help is emphasized. This next six weeks, students will have the opportunity to also Praise Dance under the direction of Rev. Holliway-Wiggins and/or learn the art of Storytelling under the guidance of Mrs. Marilyn Kinsella.
DIA EXTENDIDO – SESION 2
Sesión Uno de Día Extendido termino el próximo viernes, 26 de septiembre. Si Ud. tiene un interés de participación de su hijo/a en Sesión 2, cumple el formulario con esta carta. Sesión 2 comenzara que comenzara el lunes, 29 de septiembre y terminara el 7 de noviembre. El costo es $50.00 para un niño/a y $70 para una familia. Estudiantes esta en uno de tres grupos—K-2, 3-5, y 6-8. La meta es a mejorar capacidades y ayudar con tarea. En las próximas semanas los estudiantes aprenderán danzas de alabanza con Rev. Holliway-Wiggins y/o aprender el arte de cuentes con Señora Marilyn Kinsella.
